๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ด Angola visa requirements

Who needs a visa, an e-visa or an eTA to enter Angola, what to prepare, and where to apply officially.

Heads up: Angola's official eVisa portal says citizens of a list of countries (including South Africa, Botswana, Mauritius, Namibia and Mozambique) can visit for tourism without a visa for up to 30 days per entry and 90 days a year. Everyone else applies online; the portal quotes 72-hour processing and asks for a passport valid 6 months, a yellow fever certificate, a return ticket and accommodation. We couldn't read the full exempt list, so check evisa.ao for your passport.

Angola visa FAQ

Do I need a visa for Angola?

It depends on your passport. The table above covers the passports most Faylo travellers hold; use the checker for any other. Whatever the result, confirm it on Angola eVisa portal (Migration and Foreigners Service) before you pay or book.

Where do I apply for a Angola visa?

Use the official site: Angola eVisa portal (Migration and Foreigners Service) (https://evisa.ao). Government sites don't charge for the form itself โ€” only the visa fee. Be careful with look-alike sites and agents who bundle the fee with their own.

How long before I travel should I apply?

Allow more time than you think you need: online approvals can take days, and embassy visas can take weeks. Start at least a few weeks before you fly, and don't buy non-refundable flights until you have the approval.
