Angola visa for Egyptian passport holders

Visa required

Egyptian passport holders need a visa before travelling to Angola

This usually means applying at an embassy, consulate or visa centre โ€” sometimes in person. Start early; it can take weeks.

Heads up: Angola's official eVisa portal says citizens of a list of countries (including South Africa, Botswana, Mauritius, Namibia and Mozambique) can visit for tourism without a visa for up to 30 days per entry and 90 days a year. Everyone else applies online; the portal quotes 72-hour processing and asks for a passport valid 6 months, a yellow fever certificate, a return ticket and accommodation. We couldn't read the full exempt list, so check evisa.ao for your passport.

What you'll typically need

  • A completed application form and passport photos
  • Bank statements and proof of employment or study
  • Flight and accommodation bookings, or an invitation letter
  • A passport valid for at least six months from the day you arrive, with blank pages
  • Proof of onward or return travel
  • A yellow fever vaccination certificate โ€” many African countries ask for it, especially if you've been in an affected country

Typical requirements, not a guarantee โ€” the destination decides.

Want us to fill this in for you?

Coming soon: our visa agent fills in the Angola application, a person checks it, and you approve it before it's submitted.

Individual passport results come from Passport Index data as of February 2026. Faylo hasn't yet checked Angola against its government's own site. Rules change, so always check the official source before you pay or book. Faylo is not an embassy or immigration adviser.

Questions

Do Egyptian citizens need a visa for Angola?

Egyptian passport holders need a visa before travelling to Angola. This usually means applying at an embassy, consulate or visa centre โ€” sometimes in person. Start early; it can take weeks. Confirm on Angola eVisa portal (Migration and Foreigners Service) before you pay or book, because entry rules change.

Should I use an agent to get a Angola visa?

Only if you want someone to handle the paperwork for you. Government fees are the same whether or not you use an agent, and agents add their own fee on top โ€” sometimes more than the visa itself. Check that the government fee is listed separately and avoid agents who ask for payment to a personal account.
