Heads up: Mozambique launched a new eVisa and eTA portal on 11 February 2026. Nigerian passport holders cannot apply through it: Mozambique's own portal says to apply at the nearest Mozambican embassy or consulate instead. Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire and Senegal passports need an eTA for stays up to 30 days. Some African neighbours (including Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda and South Africa) need no visa for 30 or 90 days.

What you'll typically need
- A card that can pay online, for the authorisation fee
- A digital passport photo and a scan of your passport photo page
- Your accommodation address and arrival date
- A passport valid for at least six months from the day you arrive, with blank pages
- Proof of onward or return travel
- A yellow fever vaccination certificate — many African countries ask for it, especially if you've been in an affected country
