Tips for Ghanaians travelling to India
- Buy and install before you leave Ghana, on home or office Wi-Fi — not in the departure lounge.
- Keep your Ghanaian SIM in the phone for calls and bank OTP texts. Turn off data roaming on that line so it can't bill you in India.
- Set the Faylo eSIM as your mobile data line when you land. WhatsApp keeps working on your usual number.
- Many budget Android phones — including a lot of Tecno, Infinix and itel models — don't support eSIM yet. Dial *#06# and look for a 32-digit EID before you pay.
Common questions
How much is a India eSIM in cedis?
Plans start at GHS 127 for 3 GB over 30 days. Choose GHS at checkout and that's the amount you're charged.
Does the price change with the exchange rate?
Our prices are set in US dollars and converted to cedis at our current rate. The GHS amount shown at checkout is locked in for that order.
Will my Ghanaian number still work in India?
Yes — the eSIM only adds data. Your Ghanaian SIM stays in your phone for calls and texts (your own network's roaming rates apply to those), and WhatsApp carries on as normal over your Faylo data.
What if my phone doesn't support eSIM?
Check before you pay: dial *#06# and look for a 32-digit EID. If it isn't there, don't buy — and if something still goes wrong after you've paid, message us on WhatsApp and we'll refund you if your phone genuinely can't use it.
